4 first gen cameras have been ‘transferred’ however we still get notifications from Nest (not Google Home); there does not appear a Notification setting for these migrated cameras to configure
also, the transferred cameras do not deliver audio - we use one in a bedroom as a ‘baby monitor’

When you say your four 1st gen cameras have been "transferred", do you mean that you have the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app, and you have gone into that version of the Google Home app and "transferred" your cameras from the Google Nest app to the Google Home app, as described in this post?
If so, there is supposed to be an option in the "Public Preview" version to provide "feedback" on that version.

Hi - no, I am using Google Home v3.12.104

Well, there is no other capability to "transfer" 1st gen Google Nest cameras from the Google Nest app to the Google Home app, so I don't know what you mean by "transferred cameras".
We have several Google Nest 1st gen cameras and doorbells that were installed in the Google Nest app but can also be viewed in the Google Home app because we migrated our Nest Account to a Google Account in 2020. Notifications for these cameras still come through the Google Nest app, and there are no "notification" settings in the Google Home app for these 1st gen cameras and doorbells in the Google Home app (UNLESS the cameras have been "transferred" from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app, as described in the post I provided earlier). And when we view our 1st gen cameras and doorbells in the Google Home app, we do get both audio and video, so I don't know why you're not getting audio.

We are on the same page - first gen cams were migrated in a similar time frame as your experience … I used the term ‘transfer’ as that is how Google documents read; so we see the cameras but it is irksome to have notifications coming from Nest, and the Nest site will eclipse in March; don’t know what to make of lack of audio on first gens in Google Home - we recently added second gen doorbell and outdoor flood cam - they both work fine

The "Nest site" is NOT "eclipsing" in March. If it were, there would be a huge uproar among Google Nest customers who are still using the Google Nest app and the home.nest.com website--including us.
Rather, on April 8, 2024, Google Nest is ending support for Nest Secure (the alarm system that includes Nest Guards, Nest Detects, and Nest Tags) and for the older Dropcams. Google Nest says they have sent emails to customers who have either, with transition offers. Se this blog post:
As evidenced by other posts in this forum, there are a lot of customers frustrated with the quirks of having to deal with both the Google Nest app and the Google Home app.
However, I don't have any ideas as to why you're not getting audio on your 1st gen cameras in the Google Home app. We are getting audio on ours.

Thank you for explaining re Nest Secure!
Also, good news … complete user error on my part, we have audio from the first gen cams on Google Home.
Thx again for your expertise.

That's good to hear!
I sure hope that Google Nest eventually adds these Nest app functions to the Google Home app:

Until then, we'll keep using the Google Nest app.
