Brand New Outdoor Nest Cam Did Not Go Off When I Needed It The Most

I had a break-in March 6 of this year. The culprit parked his bike and trailer directly under the outdoor camera. I got plenty of video, however the motion light, for the first time, did not come on. That might have deterred him from breaking in. 

My motion light comes on when a cat, squirrel, raccoon, neighbour, dog, hydro or water guy is in it’s view - but the criminal? - the light didn't come on.

Wondering what gives with that. Is it possible he was wearing clothes that are immune to motion lights?

Thank you for posting. I'm sorry that the light never turns on when motion shows on the Nest Outdoor camera. This is annoying when you need to capture an image of the event.

For this concern, there is a good article you can review on how to adjust the floodlight settings and manage the sensitivity of the motion to check the camera event more accurately.
