Connection Issue After Factory Reset

I changed routers and was having difficulty connecting to new wifi.  After doing factory reset, I get solid white light but does not turn to blue to start the connection process.

Sometimes customers end up performing a "Restart" rather than a "Factory reset". Both sets of instructions are in the same Help topic:

Did you hold down the reset button until getting a blinking yellow status light at 10 seconds with a countdown tone, and a steady solid yellow status light at 12 seconds, followed by a confirmation tone? (Sometimes it seems it takes longer than 12 seconds.)

It's too bad that a factory reset is required just to update a camera's Wi-Fi settings.

I too am unable to connect my recently receive Nest Cam Indoor 2nd generation. I've done the factory reset twice for one minute each and tried all the USB ports on the back of my Mac and the one on my router. The yellow blinking light continues to blink. How do I resolve this?

Why would you try to connect your 2nd gen Nest Cam Indoor to a USB port on your Mac?  Or on your router, of all things???  Your camera should be connected to the power adapter that comes with the camera.

Here's what the instructions state:

Set up your camera

1. Plug your camera into your computer

Use the included USB cable to plug your camera directly into a USB port on your computer.

Important:

  • Don't use third party cables as they may not deliver enough power.

  • Don't plug your camera into an external USB hub that's connected to your computer.

  • Try a different USB port if you encounter an issue during setup.

The light on the front of your camera should glow blue to indicate that the camera is starting up. After a moment, the light should begin to blink.

Those are old instructions. See this paragraph in those instructions:

"Important: Newer models (such as Nest Cam battery, Nest Doorbell battery, Nest Cam IQ, etc.) not listed above cannot be set up on a computer and must be set up with the Google Home app or Nest app."
