Device offline due to an empty battery

I have recently installed hard wired outdoor cameras with floodlights. After a week of working, two of the cameras shows “Device offline due to an empty battery”. How is this possible? What do I do?

Never mind… Looks like electricians put the lights on a switch. If switch isn’t on, the camera runs on battery. Why switches?? IDK. Labels being made for switches as we speak.

@AdrienneW

Having floodlights on a switched circuit is pretty standard. It's up to the homeowner to keep the switch on if they have a motion detector floodlight or a floodlight camera. We have a little cap/guard over the switch to our standard motion detector floodlight.
