So.......Google makes you migrate everything to Home App. Including my Nest cams. Now, I can't get email notifications on my new battery cams (plugged in for continuous feed) and they won't work in the Nest app. What gives???
FIX THIS MESS. I have 2000 dollars worth of cameras and pay for Nest Aware and im juggling between apps, notifications, and lost features. Jesus Google, just make the Home app work like the Nest one.

Amen. What a dumpster fire! I'm sure glad I threw thousands of dollars in cameras into the dumpster just as they were igniting it. *sigh*

What sad, is before this, I swore by nest. I’m still trying to be loyal, but Google needs to fix their stuff. They know this is an issue. It’s a simple fix. Redesigned the Google home app to adopt the features of the nest app. It’s very simple. But a couple of programmers could probably do it in less than a month

Hey folks,
Thank you for your feedback on this issue, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest Cams in the Nest App or available on https://bit.ly/3HtBgJC web app. I can imagine having to use two different apps at the moment is quite daunting, and could lead to frustration.
However, the new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the Home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support. I am more than happy to assist you further with this inquiry if you wish. Please let me know.
Best Regards,
Brad.

The problem is, is that the Home app does not offer the same features that the nest app does. It’s almost unusable. Fix that, and people won’t complain about

I know that by now, Google/Nest is aware that the Google Home app lacks some previous features that the Nest App has. However, I am not sure if those implementations will be present in the Google Home app in the future. The Google Home app is still a work in progress from what I have seen personally. I am afraid I do not have a solution to your problem at this time.
Best regards,
Brad.

Brad though your statement may hold some validity but much it is a fallacy, based upon Google’s own action. Implementing TikTok, having the hub say happy birthday is not by the mass majority of users on here any sign of an improvement. It would seem that the management of nest products Are taking us against our screams down a path completely unknown even to themselves. . One only has to look at their history. Nest cameras, oops no Now Google Nest Cameras. Cameras of nest tossed aside for cameras that do NOT function below certain temps. Smoke detectors, alarms, motion detectors now useless in the home app. Alerts that used to show quick clips, fail. Two app, multiple alerts from multiple apps. Zero concern for bugs in the nest app. Seriously all iOS users on here complaining of the spinning wheel during playback and not once an ounce of ownership by Google. Twitter is the same, hi we stumbled upon your twerk. Oh blue spinning wheel of playback death? Send us a DM so we can add you to the run around. List.
I along with thousands of others have watched the decimation of the nest cameras. Which by the way are for what? Oh yeah security. Gee officer would love to show you the video of my catalytic converter being stolen but google feels I need tiktok instead of a working app. I correct my self two working app. See if you have nest cameras old and new you need two apps?!! Pass the corporate Koolade.

Please leave your feedback with Google. It is not up to me, a moderator over these Nest Community Forums to solve all of these issues. But I appreciate the feedback either way I suppose. Leave your feedback with the app, with Support, here is fine, but I cannot guarantee anything.
Best regards,
Brad.

Google feels that the home app is the best yet refuses to listen to the end users. We all scream for the nest app and are forced to use a cartoon app. But they gave us tiktok. Which happens to be owned by a Chinese company which happens to be run by the government
