How can I record more longer when set to “people” event

We have a nest battery camera , plugged in permanently

we have online subscription; standard

We have the Settings for length of recording at three minutes but when it records a ‘people’  event it records about 10 seconds before the person walks into the room and then stops shortly after. Is it possible to extend this recording so records at least 10 seconds before and 20+ seconds afterwards

I don't know how Google Nest decides how long to continue recording an event, but there is no setting that would force a longer recording period.

You could think about upgrading from a "Nest Aware" subscription to a "Nest Aware Plus" subscription, so you would have 24/7 recording, and could scroll backwards and forwards from an event in the timeline.
