I don't know why downloading video clips is so overly complicated in the first place.
You have to go into the Home app then the camera then look at history and then when looking at event details at the very top of the video window there's a download icon.
You can do this for events that Google AI has found. So you're paying to record a bunch of stuff that you can't make video clips of even if you take the time to find something that they missed. Forcing the new cameras into the Home app has really been disappointing. The Home app needs tons of TLC to get to where the Nest app was. It's incredibly short-sighted to just sell people Nest devices that have been using Nest for a while and then they go to install them and they can't use their Nest device in their Nest app.
Now that I've downloaded a video or so it says I go to the download areas in my phone and there's no video to be found.
I would have posted this in another thread that discussed how to download the videos, but unfortunately in the Google forums and only good threat is a locked thread.:(

I was just using the files app on the Android phone.
Went to the download folder and there was nothing in there. They were actually in the video folder.
Inside the same files application you can also go to internal storage and then the movies folder.
