Hello. I’m new to Nest. I have it set up exactly as I want it except I want to change the “event detection sound.” I have dogs and they set it off quite often when they’re outside and I’m really sick of the sound so I’d like to change it. I’ve gone to Settings > Nest Aware but there is no sound detection. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Libits2023, unfortunately there is no way to change the sound. The only thing you can do is inside the APP there is a FEEDBACK button and you can make that suggestion. It is the only place Google looks at requests. This is just a user forum and Google is not really present here.

Until you answered, I had TWO things making me insane---trying to change the sound and the sound itself. Now that I know it’s not possible, I only have ONE thing making me insane—the sound. Thank you so much!! 😊

@Jenelyn_O Thanks for chiming in. Many replies sound like canned answers like "please be assured that our product team is working non-stop.....". Also, given that we are now approaching 3 years waiting for the NEST APP Camera and Thermostat functions to be brought over the GOOGLE HOME app it gives me and many many people on this forum doubt that Google is working "non-stop". Sorry to be negative but I'm telling you the perception of the customer base.
