Moved Nest Cam 2nd gen to new home and did not deinstall it

Hello, I recently moved home and did not “remove device” at the old home. I no longer have access to the old home. I’m struggling to connect my Nest Cams 2nd gen (wired) as the app cannot find them in the new home. I’ve factory reset them and it does not help. Could you please advise what to do? Thanks

Yeah, Google Nest does not make it easy, and it works better if you remove the cameras while you are still on your old Wi-Fi network.

One thing you can do is to make sure that the "factory reset" actually occurred. This seems to be an issue in many cases. After the factory reset has occurred, it seems the camera's status light should be pulsing blue, indicating the camera is ready to connect.

Did you follow the "factory reset" instructions (NOT the "restart" instructions) on the Help page below?

1. Locate the reset hole on the bottom of the camera head. It’s between the power cord and the camera neck.

2. Insert a paper clip, thumbtack or similar into the hole. Press and hold down.

At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you’ll hear a countdown tone.
At 12 seconds, the status light will be solid yellow. When the camera begins resetting, you’ll hear a confirmation tone.

3. Release the button. Your camera will restore to its factory settings.

Thank you very much! The factory reset was previously not being completed as I was removing the pin too early. Really appreciate the help. It now works.
