Need Help with Google Doorbell Voice Announcement Settings

Hi everyone,

I'm reaching out for some assistance with my Google Doorbell. I've been pretty happy with the device overall, but there's a minor issue with the voice announcements that's been bothering me. Whenever someone rings the doorbell, the Google Assistant announces that someone is at the door. However, the phrasing in German is incorrect. It says, "Es steht jemand IN der Türe" (someone is IN the door), but it should say, "Es steht jemand VOR der Türe" (someone is AT the door). I've checked and my settings are all set to German.

I haven't found a way to correct the language of the announcement or to disable the voice completely so that only the doorbell chimes. I would appreciate any advice on how to either correct the language error or disable the voice announcement feature while keeping the doorbell sound active.

Thanks in advance for your help

That's not good.  You could send "feedback" to Google Nest about the incorrect wording:

(They do NOT send any replies to feedback.)

There is no way to turn off the voice announcements.
