We are having trouble adding our new Nest Cam (battery) to our Nest Hub Max.
I open the Google Home app and tap the + set up device. Then I tap New Device. We want to add it to our Nest Hub Max home, so I tap on that. The app finds the device and then we tap "we are setting up Camera", Nest Cam battery, scan the QR code. After accepting all the guidelines, we plugged in the camera and waited for the blue light to appear. The app prepares the device and then tries connecting to the assisting Nest device. It tries and tries and tries but can't connect. We have tried turning everything off and trying again (many times), but the result is the same. Can the community help?
Thanks so much

Hi there,
Sorry to her about your experience in setting up the Nest Cam (battery). Let's get this sorted out. A few questions:
I would recommend moving your Nest products closer during setup. Also, you can try creating a new home and moving your Nest Hub there. You can check this article on how to Troubleshoot Nest camera and doorbell setup messages for basic steps.

Thanks for replying Steve.
I have an iPhone 11 and I have the Nest app as well as Google Home. We have a Google Nest Hub Max.
To get the Nest Cam (battery) working, I created a new home on the Google Home app. The camera works well.
When I initially tried to set up the device, I had the camera right next to the Google Nest Hub Max.
It wouldn't set up, so that's when I created the new home.
So on the Nest app my question is, how do I add the Google Nest Cam to that app?
Also my husband has an Android Samsung S20. How does he import the Google Nest Cam to the Nest app?
Thanks again for your help. 🙂

Hi there,
Sorry for the delay. The Nest Cam (battery) can only be added to the Google Home app. You can check this article on how to Set up and connect Nest camera for more info.
