Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) POE in 2024

Are the cameras still limited to power only via POE? 

Has there been a secret update to enable both power and data?

Looking to possibly buy quite a few if they do data.

I've read some older posts but figured there may have been a change in the past year or so.

I would love to see that as well but I'm assuming charging port isn't even physically capable of transferring data. And to make it worse Nest Cams are limited to 2.4Ghz (with 5Ghz disabled on the software side?) on many markets outside of US (namely EU)
