Nest Camera Indoor live video not working but recording

Maurizio83

Hi,

I have 3 Nest Cameras Indoor (2nd gen, wired) providing the same issue.

Live video streaming is not working (camera seems offline) but then I get notifications for events and I can see recorded video.

I browsed in the community and this seems a common issue. I tried pretty much every suggestion I found in the community (restart, unplug, factory reset, wifi network SSID split between 2.4 and 5.0, ...) and nothing worked for me.

Did anybody manage to understand what is the issue and how to fix?

Thank you!

Nope all you'll get is this thread locked and no real fixes or solutions.....

Hi folks,

I'm sorry to hear that and for the delayed response. No worries, we'll check this out. How far is the camera from the router? What's the status light of the cameras? Also, when did the issue start?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

JT

The closest camera is 50cm from the router, the others are 2-3 meters. Status light is green. The issue started from first installation.

Anyway after 5 factory resets it finally worked... honestly I have no idea what was the issue (I did not change anything between first installation and 5th factory reset...) and how this was solved.

I am just left with hope this will not happen again...

Hey Maurizio83,

I'm glad to hear that it's working now. It might've been a minor hiccup but we do suggest to keep monitoring it and reach back to us if you need more help.

I appreciate the help, JT.

Thanks,

Archie
