Nest Doorbell battery

I just purchased the nest doorbell battery. The online instructions give both wired and battery only installation instructions. My question is: If you wire your doorbell to the current old system will the doorbell remained charged or will I still have to remove the system to charge it?

So long as it’s getting the right voltage and power, it should be kept charged.

North America spec:

- Voltage: 8–24 VAC
- Power: 10 VA
- Frequency: 50-60 Hz
