I have had my Nest Doorbell for sometime. I have never been able to get it to engage the chime properly. I have called nest Support 6-8 times and they have been worthless. I also have the Nest Thermostat. The thermostat and the camera on the doorbell have always worked properly. I have changed the chime and the transformer. I have restarted and reset my doorbell. I have changed to a different chime connector. I have been told to turn my Quiet Time off. Not sure if I ever turned it off and the support person had no idea how to turn it off. I have turned on the electronic chime and set the duration so that the chime will chime. Then 20 minutes later it takes 4 doorbell pushes to engage the chime. When I turn the electronic chime off, the doorbell will make the ring outside, but does not engage the inside chime. i paid too much for this to just pitch it and I am convinced that Google Nest could care less.
Any help from the community would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Is your transformer more than the minimum required?

I can't tell which doorbell you have, but is the chime connector wired correctly?

I purchased a new transformer, but my older one was actually putting out slightly more volts 17-18 when tested in attic and at the doorbell. I believe I have the Nest hello 2nd generation, because it came with the chime connectors. And it is wired according to the diagram. Thanks for your input...

@housegd, I’m sorry for the trouble with your indoor chime, but we appreciate your efforts here. Let’s turn off your quiet time first, then let me know if that helps.
Here’s how:
