Nest camera connected to Netgear Nighthawk MR6110

This site only has one option for Internet which is mobile Internet.  An ATT/Netgear Nighthawk MR6110 modem router is the  Internet source.  The Wifi is not strong enough to reach all cameras and additional Wifi is needed.  I have tried Erro 6 pro, Ubiquity AC pro, and Google NLS 1304  twenty five.  I have tried with and without IP passthrough.  Wifi set to only 2.4 ghz.  Cameras were factory reset.  In the end setting up the camera ends with going just past the Wifi selection then it says no Internet access.  As an independent test I used my cell phone hotspot and was able to setup 2 cameras with no problem.

Hi markz12345,

Thank you for posting. Sorry for the inconvenience of the issue that you are having with the connection.

For this specific concern, you can consider getting a Google Nest Wifi Pro. A couple of them will cover the range of your internet service provider; they will work as access points so they can repeat the signal of your internet and cover the missing areas where the Nest Camera does not connect. Here is the link to check the options for Google Nest Wifi Pro to purchase since it takes advantage of the benefits of the 6 GHz radio band to deliver a new level of Wi-Fi performance.

Also, here is a link to check out how to set up the Google Nest Wifi Pro.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Byron

Would the Google nest Wifi router work when the Google router would not?

Hi markz12345,

Thank you for posting.

The two Google Nest Wifi Pros can work with the same signal; however, one of the devices should work as a router and the other as an access point to cover the missing signal. When you set up the devices, the set-up process will direct you to which device needs to be configured.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Byron
