Hello,

I have changed my wifi router recently to ASUS WIFi 6 with the same wifi name and password but for some reason non of my cameras are connecting with the home app anymore. I tried to reset one of the them but it doesn't even get connected to start the installation process.

Can anyone help ?

Hey mayar,

Thanks for posting in the Google Nest Community. I’d be happy to help you with this. Let’s check it out.

You may need to update the WiFi router settings to use with Nest products. If you're not familiar with Wi-Fi router settings, contact your internet service provider (ISP) or router manufacturer for help with these settings.

Here’s a summary of the recommended settings:

  • Enable 802.11 b/g/n if you have an 802.11 ac router.
  • Set your Wi-Fi router's DHCP lease time to at least 2 hours.
  • Turn on your router's Power Save Mode (PSM), if you have a Nest thermostat.
  • Enable IPv6, if you have a Nest Protect.
  • On your Wi-Fi router, turn on multicast, if you're adding additional Nest devices.

You can find more information here on the suggested Wi-Fi network and router settings.

I hope that helps.

Best,

Lance
