Nest camera is stupid camera

My outdoor Nest camera lost connection and can't reconnect automatically, I have to reset it to factory state or unplug and plug it back in it works fine, my wifi nest is located 5 meter away and there are no obstructions every other device is working fine, what if unfortunately my house has a thief in there and does something evil but the camera loses connection. I tried to contact support but he seems to refuse to try to avoid the issue and blames me directly without trying to resolve the issue.

@chuthonen

If we have a power outage, we sometimes have to briefly unplug one or two of our Google Nest Outdoor Cameras to get them to come back online, and once we had to briefly turn off the power on one of our Nest Hello Doorbells to get to come back online. It's not anything you are doing or not doing; it seems to be the way that they work. Customers who have cameras in remote locations like vacation homes have frequently complained about this in this forum.

I think it's the dumbest thing ever, why can't the camera automatically get ready

Hey there,

Thanks for bringing this up to me, I'd love to take a look into this for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This might be helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.

Best regards,
Brad
