Nest to Google Home SUCKS

Unsure why my password is not working but I cannot login to my nest app now since I purchased a new camera and it wants me to setup through Google Home!!!!! I've used my Google password, my Nest password. I've even clicked forgot password. NOTHING is working. Why not keep it freaking simple and allow Nest to be Nest and Google Home to be Google Home and idk the consumer given the choice to do wtf they want with whichever platform!!

FRUSTRATED is an understatement.

I'm just another Google Nest customer (as are most people responding in this forum).

It's a little hard to tell what's happening in your case, so here is a little background. The newer Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in Sept. 2021 (including your battery doorbell) work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app. If you were already a Google Nest customer and started using the Google Nest app prior to August 19, 2019, logging on with a non-gmail account, then the normal process is to first migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account, and THEN install your 2nd gen battery doorbell in the Google Home app. Once you've migrated from a Nest Account to a Google Account, you will log into the Google Nest app to administer your older cameras with the "Sign in with Google" option, using the same Google Account you migrated to.

Here's a help topic on the issue:

The cameras are the outdoor/indoor battery camera. I finally figured out what it was. The new cameras won't show on the Nest app which really SUCKS. The Google Home app is TERRIBLE for Nest cameras. On Nest you can scroll to any time on your camera.

Google home you are only limited to movement or sounds captured. So it's not a true 24/7 recording on my other wired cameras that I pay a subscription for continuous recording. That really sucks and has made me look at other ways to use my cameras to their full potential.
