No connection to Google doorbell when I am not at home

When I am not home but I still want to watch live I do not get to see video or it takes a very long time for them to be visible. With the rest of the devices such as nest thermostat and a nest cam indoor I do not experience this. It cannot be due to the wifi connection. The modem is within a meter away.

Hey everyone,

I understand that you're having trouble connecting to your Nest camera when you’re not at home. I'm here to help you get back online. Just to check, what type of Nest doorbell are you using? Which app do you use to access the Nest camera? If you are using the Google Home app, have you been using the public preview for the Google Home app

I look forward to your response.

Best,
Edmond

Hi, I have the Google Doorbell Nest Battery. I use the normal Google Home app, not the preview.

Hello GJAD99,

Thanks for providing that info. Have you tried reinstalling the Google Home app? Or restarting the Nest camera? Here is a link on how to restart or factory reset the Nest camera or doorbell.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Regards,
Edmond
