No doorbell notifications when out the house

I have a battery Nest doorbell. When I am at home I receive all my notifications, however when I am out of the house (away from home), I don't.

I do not have Home/Away Assist.

All notifications including critical alerts on both Home app and Phone settings are on.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I have deleted the zone I set up.  I have removed Home from battery optimization. Still no notifications.

Can anyone help please? Running android and latest app version

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that you don't receive Nest Doorbell notifications when you're out of the house. Let me take a look at this for you. A few questions: 

1. Are you signed into the app?
2. Is the device detecting events?
3. Did you receive any push or email notifications?
4. Have you checked their spam folder?
5. Has anything changed in the your environment?
6. Is the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on?
7. Did you try to use a different mobile device?
8. Is this issue constant or intermittent?

Hi Zoe, I found the issue. It was deep in the android settings under a battery launch settings (I think). As long as the app is open, I get notifications away from home.

I'll monitor and see if I still get issues
