No sound in nest camera history

Could someone help? I have sound when I look at my live view on my Gen 1 Nest camera, but when I look at history events there is no sound, just video. The microphone is turned on in settings and the volume is up on my phone and my husbands app.

Under Settings | Microphone for your Google Nest Outdoor Camera in the Google Nest app, is "Audio recording" turned on?

Are you by any chance viewing event video history for your 1st gen camera in the Google Home app? The customer in this post reports they are not getting audio for event video history for their 1st gen camera in the Google Home app. (I don't know why; it works for us.)

@Dwddppr, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. How's it going? Were you able to check if the Audio Recording setting is on? If it is enabled, events in your video history will include everything your device's microphone hears, as well as the voice of whoever is speaking to a visitor during a Talk & Listen event. If it's off, you can still listen live.
