My CCwGtv works fine and maybe I am missing a built-in limitation but I thought I could get sound from my TV (HDMI input) speakers and paired Bluetooth headphones at the same time. However, as soon as I connect my headphones, the TV speakers cut out. When I disconnect the headphones, the speaker sound comes back. I didn't think what I was trying to do was unusual (I want to be able to use Bluetooth headphone sound as my hearing is not that great while others watch normally with me listening to the TV speaker sound). If this is impossible, it shouldn't be, but I would appreciate a confirmation or any ideas for a workaround. Thanks.

Unfortunately, you can't do both at the same time, as you've discovered.
The only work-around may be to avoid using the Chromecast. See if your TV can play sound AND push it to audio-out. If so, you could connect a Bluetooth transmitter to your TV.

Thank you. That’s what I feared but I very much appreciate the confirmation. Google should consider this for their next upgrade. I would purchase. My tv won’t do this. That is why I thought the Chromecast would. Cheers!

Thanks Jennifer but my question has been answered in that it was confirmed that you couldn’t have speaker and Bluetooth sound at the same time with the current Chromecast with Google tv. This should be something technically possible and I hope Google considers in future designs.

Hey there MichaelOR,
This is something that I've seen a good amount of people would like. If you have the time, would you be able to submit feedback via the Google Home app to let Google know? While they won't respond directly back to you, Google takes all submitted feedback seriously.
Of course, if you had any other questions or concerns, please let us know.
Best regards,
Jeran

I have now provided this feedback through Google Home app.

Thank you for doing that! Every bit of feedback helps to let the Google team know what features and issues to prioritize. In the meantime, did you have any other questions, or should I go ahead and lock up this thread?
Best regards,
Jeran
