Hi, I have had my Chromecast working for years without issue. However, I recently changed wifi network. I tried to get it working again but Google Home won't recognise it. I tried all of the trouble shooting advice to no avail. On the TV screen it is showing the Welcome screen and the numeber of the Chromecast. However, it doesn't show any connection to my wifi network. It also doesn;t show up on Bluetooth. It is is showing up in my list of networks but I don't know what this means or if it can help.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Aisling
Have you tried a full factory reset? How to factory reset your Chromecast - Android - Chromecast Help
Do the reset and then set up your Chromecast like it was new out of the box.
Let us know if you need more help though.

Hi JillG, yes I have tried that twice and it still won't work. I have ran through all of the trouble shooting items on the website. I have also re-installed the Google Home app several times. It just won't work.

Hello there,
I appreciate your help here, JillG.
Aisling, I'm sorry to hear that you're still having trouble connecting your Chromecast to your new network. Could you try to manually connect the Chromecast to the Chromecast SSID? Here's how: go to the phone’s Settings > Open Wi-Fi and connect to the Chromecast SSID (Example: Chromecast1234, Living Room TV, Bedroom TV, etc.) > Go to the Google Home app and try to set it up again.
If the issue persists, please connect it to the mobile hotspot to isolate the issue.
Best,
Jennifer
