Cant Connect to Chromecast Device

Hi All.

I'm facing issues in connecting my laptop to my TV using the chromecast device. When I click the casting butoon on the google chorme web browser it gives a message "No Devices Found" although my laptop and my chromecast device are using the same wifi network.

Even if I restart the TV and the chrome browser on my laptop, the chromecast device doesn't show up and if it shows up rarely, it happens on its own.

Can someone guide how to rectify this issue? Thanks

Are you using a VPN on your laptop at all? That will likely prevent your computer seeing your local network.
Also, check that your laptop WiFi is on a private network, not a public network (assuming it's Windows, go to Settings, Network & internet, WiFi, select your Wifi connection and then make sure the Network Profile Type is set to private.)

Hi folks,

Appreciate your help, @thedriver.

@Zeeshan_Bokhari, have you tried the suggestion above? And for casting, some websites may have a built-in cast icon, but the correct way to cast from the Chrome browser is to click the three dotsMore menu icon located at the top right corner of the browser. Choose Cast from the options and choose the type of casting (cast a tab, desktop, or file) you want. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy
