I have 2 Chromecast 4k devices, one connected to a vizio 4k tv and the other connected to my LG OLED. The Chromecast connected to my Lg constantly looses it's wifi connection, buffers or reduces the resolution to something almost unwatchable. I've switched the two devices and they both work fine on the Vizio and both have problems on the LG, I can access the YouTube tv app via the built in LG app but my problem is the built in app and the LG store doesn't give me access to all of my apps. Iuse google nest wifi and the wifi nearest the LG Oled is less than16 inches from the chromecast, when the chromecast is unable to connect the built in tv apps still work and the internet is still working everywhere else at top speeds.

Hi LoJack,
Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. Based on your description, it seems that both Chromecast devices are working as intended. I think this is more of an outside influence or something in that particular area/spot that causes interference or signal degradation. Repositioning the access point might help. The objective is to get an efficient connection and not be literally close. Devices within that vicinity can also contribute to what you’re experiencing. Another way to isolate a possible network issue is to disconnect the Chromecast from your home Wi-Fi, connect it to your smartphone’s mobile hotspot, and observe if the same behavior persists. Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kimy
