Chromcast with Google TV and Google Home Max as speaker

QualQuek

Hi,

I just bought a Chromecast with Google TV and i also have a Google Home Max.

I'm trying to use my Home Max as speaker with my Chromecast with Google TV, so to proceed i've created a group with my Chromecast and my Home max and set the Home Max as default speaker. If i start a video with Youtube the sound still use my TV Speakers and not my Home Max.

I've tried to pair the Chromecast or the Home max with my blutooth on my computer but i don't see any of them in the bluetooth settings on my computer.

Can you help me please?

Thanks in advance.

You're close, but not there.

Audio Groups only work for Audio content (no video) so that's not the answer.

And, your computer isn't going to push the sound.

You need to tell your Chromecast with Google TV to Bluetooth pari with your Max (running in Bluetooth mode).

Here is how you get your Max into Bluetooth pairing mode:

And then, here is how you pair a Bluetooth device with your Chromecast with Google TV:
