I have a nine smart TV and I am using the chrome cast to stream my shows. I have it for about two years and worked perfectly until now. The continue watching feature is seldom working now, and I used to rely on it to know what to watch next. I check for updates and the device says it is up to date. I have unplugged the unit for long periods of times hoping the reboot will take care of it, but it did not work either. I do not use my phone to stream, only the Chromecast.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I am having same exact problem. Have tried resetting/ turning off etc... Very frustrating
