Chrome cast tv won’t download Stan or binge

Hi there, I’m trying to download the Stan and binge app onto my chrome cast and it says “not available in your country” I live in Queensland Australia..which is the right country. I’ve tried trouble shooting and uninstalling and update and still no change. How do I fix this? I only bought the 4K chrome cast tv yesterday (15/4/2024)

Stan and Binge are both Australian streaming services, so these apps being unavailable is unusual. Here are some things you can try:

 

  • Check Google Account Location: Go to your Google account settings on a web browser and ensure your location is set to Australia.
  • If you're using a VPN, temporarily disable it and try downloading the apps again.
  • Restart Chromecast: Unplug your Chromecast from the power source for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
  • If none of these steps work, please perform a factory reset of the Chromecast.
