I bought 3 new chomecasts with TV about a month ago and started to notice that the batteries only last about a week to two weeks on all of them, regardless of use.
Any idea whats going on with my remotes? I cant keep changing batteries at this pace.

Remove the remote from the list of accessories, add it again and re-pair it.
Check the remote for stuck buttons.
Lastly, you may have a faulty remote.

Yes, thanks for asking. No buttons are stuck, the unit is only a month old and perfectly clean. It happens on both remotes for both chromecasts that I bought. I have noticed that if you simply nudge or move the remote ever so slightly it turns on the tv and chromecast which is also annoying. I wonder if this constant state of being "awake" and sensitive to any movement is draining the battery?

Hey there chromecastTV305,
That is strange, I've had my Chromecast Voice Remote for at least half a year now, and I've never had to change the batteries. Go ahead and give these steps a try, and let's see if that resolves the issue.
Then see how it goes from there, and if the issue persists, replace the batteries. If you do replace the batteries, replace all batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not use lithium-ion or any other batteries with rated voltage above 1.5 V.
Give those steps a try, and let me know if that helps out!
Best regards,
Jeran

Hi Jeran. Ok, I replaced both remotes batteries with fresh new batteries.
I'll get back to you in about a week or two to provide feedback on battery life.
Question, whenever I turn off the Chromecast and TV using the Chromecast remote, the remote seems to be sensitive to any movement upon which it turns the TV and Chromecast back on if touched or moved in the slightest. How do I turn this feature off?

Awesome, sounds good!
Now, the strange thing about your Chromecast Voice Remote waking up the TV on movement is that the Chromecast Voice Remote doesn't have any sensors to detect movement. You can take a look at the specifications here. I'm wondering if there is something loose in there, or if there is a piece of dirt touching any of the buttons on the inside? If the issue persists, that is not an intended function, and I would encourage you to reach out to Chromecast Support and look at replacing the device.
I hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions!
Best regards,
Jeran
