Do I need a Chromecast TV unit for each tv ?

That depends what you're wanting to do. Some TVs have Chromecast built-in, meaning you don't need to buy a separate Chromecast. Consult the TV's manual or contact the TV manufacturer for more information.

If the TV doesn't have Chromecast built-in, you would need to buy a Chromecast for each TV if you want to be able to cast to it.

Both Chromecast and Chromecast built-in work with Android, iPhone and iPad devices, using Chromecast supported apps or casting a Chrome browser tab from a computer or Mac.

Hi MrMick,

You don't need to have multiple devices for each TV they can be unplugged and moved to different TV's.

Great point, you can absolutely do that! I assumed the ask was to be able to cast to each TV without the need to move one device between two TVs, but if that's not the case and you're happy to move one device between TVs as desired, go for one device 🙂
