Chromecast casting

My Chromecast working funny when I casting something on my Chromecast the video freeze but audio keep going on what should I do

I also have this problem. Not a WiFi issue and only seems to be affecting content streamed from BBC iPlayer (UK),not Netflix or Prime Video. The issue does not occur when playing directly via the Google TV app. I am using a Samsung 4k TV and I didn't have this problem with the third gen Chromecast.

My one having issues with any casting app even on screen mirroring

Thanks for reaching out to the Chromecast Community forum and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Chromecast. Let's sort this out.

 

A few questions: what type of Chromecast with Google TV device do you have, is it the 4K or HD model? How close are the devices to each other? When did the issue start? What's the OS version of your phone? Is it updated?

 

Give these steps a try:

 

  1. Disconnect from the Chromecast device, then recast.
  2. On the casting device, toggle Wi-Fi off and then on.
  3. Close any resource intensive apps that are open.
  4. Check if your mobile device or laptop has a power saving setting. If it's enabled, disable it.
  5. Check the proximity of the devices. Ideally, they should be less than 15 to 20 feet (4 to 6 meters) apart from each other, with one or zero walls in between.
  6. Make sure the casting device meets the minimum system requirements to support casting.
  7. Reboot the Chromecast device.
  8. Reboot the Wi-Fi router.
  9. Perform a factory reset.
