I recently purchased a new Samsung monitor. When I cast the display is dark. I've changed the monitor display settings which are currently at their brightest however the issue persists.
After three weeks of speaking to Samsung support they have advised me that I need to turn off the HRT settings within Chromecast. However I have searched in the Home app and there are no display settings. I have also searched for an app that can change settings within Chromecast but have been unable to find any.
Samsung level 2 support have given up and advised me to contact Google support and see if there's a way to turn off HDR within Chromecast.
Please advise if there is an app I need to download or how the HDR setting can be changed?

Hi Castaway,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m afraid there is no option to configure the HDR settings of the older versions of the Chromecast devices. This option is only applicable for Chromecast with Google TV. See here.
Thanks,
Jennifer
