Chromecast with Google TV 4K keep restarting

Hi, 

Just wonder if anyone can help me out or anyone facing the same problem? My Chromecast suddenly just keep restarting itself. Whenever the G (Google logo) appears, it will restart immediately. Yes, that means it's restarting about every 20 seconds. 

I tried to do the factory reset but the button on the device seems unresponsive. I'm running out of ideas so hopefully someone can help me out.

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We appreciate that you’ve tried to troubleshoot it, so we’ll try a different approach. This could be related to power or something that triggers it. For now, try a different power source (wall outlet, cords, etc.). If it persists despite having checked all of these, leave the Chromecast device unplugged from everything (TV, power, etc.) for a full day (24 hours) just to fully drain it. You can test it the next day and let us know how it goes.

Hi Kimy,

I tried and unfortunately it doesn't work. It still reboot about every 20 seconds.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for the update. Kindly check if your Chromecast with Google TV (4K) device has the latest update. 

 

  1. Go to the home screen of your Chromecast with Google TV.
  2. Choose Settings > System > About > System update.

I'm a little confused with your response since I mentioned "My Chromecast suddenly just keep restarting itself. Whenever the G (Google logo) appears, it will restart immediately. Yes, that means it's restarting about every 20 seconds." in the first post and also "It still reboot about every 20 seconds" in the response for Kimy. 

No offend but that's very dissapointing because you responded without even understanding the context of the issue.

Hi Alex,

I guess there's no point anymore due to two reasons. 

1) Google support team/tech team are looking into it now.

2) It's a fact that you didn't read or understood the context before you requested me to "update the system" because I mentioned that it kept restart or reboot when the Google logo appeared on the screen (approximately 20 seconds). How is there any possibility that anyone give such response after reading what I wrote. Now yet responding "I apologize if you feel that way"... I can't be bothered to respond anymore. Beyond disappointing.
