My chromecast was working beautifully until I changed routers and now when I try to connect it to the new router I keep getting the error message that the wifi password is incorrect, which it isn't (I've doulechecked it).
I have reset the chromecast, rebooted the router, factory reset the chromecast and nothing is working.
Please help!

Hi Ms_Maudie,
Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. We’re sorry for the trouble, and this is not the experience that we wanted you to have. Although it’s hard to put the information on the remote, it is indeed prone to missing input. But to eliminate the possibility of network issues, let’s isolate them by connecting your Chromecast with Google TV to your smartphone’s mobile hotspot instead of your home Wi-Fi. If it connects, then something on the router seems to reject the connection.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Kimy

Hi Kimy,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. To test the chromecast, I brought it into work with me and tried connecting it on the wifi here but got the same message that it's unable to connect to the wifi. I'd done another factory reset beforehand just to be on the same side. Do you have any thoughts on what else I can try? The chromecast is less than two months old.

Hi there,
We appreciate your efforts. Let’s try Kimy’s suggestion—connect your Chromecast with Google TV to a mobile hotspot.
Keep us posted.
