I don't get an option for 4k 60 fps for my denon receiver. Started with android 12 update. Anyone else with this issue. Thanks.

Basically the google tv with chromecast doesn't give me a 4k 60fps rate option when connecting my Google tv to my denon receiver. Thanks.

Google tv support says receivers are not supported and I must connect my Google tv to my tv directly. Would have never bought it if this is true.

Hey there Oreocougs,
I apologize for the late response, and thank you for being patient! Technically, receivers are not supported, as the Chromecast device was made to plug directly into the TV. However, users are usually able to find workarounds to get everything working properly. Go ahead and check out this thread for more information on how to set up your receiver with the Chromecast. You may also want to check if your Chromecast is plugged into the receiver's HDMI with the ARC input from the TV connected to the output on the receiver.
I look forward to your response, and if you have any other questions or concerns for me, please let me know!
Best regards,
Jeran

Is this why hulu only does stereo on google tv and not surround sound.

Hey there Oreocougs,
The Chromecast with Google TV works with some receivers fine because most receivers follow the necessary Chromecast requirements of having HDCP) 1.3 or higher built-in. HDCP 2.2 is required to support 4K content. Most televisions that are 5 years old or newer and have HDMI ports will have at least one port that supports HDCP 2.2. However, since the Chromecast was intended to be plugged into a TV, sometimes complications can occur. Regardless, many people have success by plugging the Chromecast into the receiver's HDMI and the receiver's HDMI Out into the TV's HDMI-ARC.
I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Jeran

It worked just fine with the last version of android. When it was updated to android 12 I lost 4k 60 fps. I was wondering if you could tell the engineers so it could be fixed with my receiver. Thanks.

I have the google tv connected to my receiver and the receiver connected through arc so it should give me 4k 60fps. This is a bug

Hey there Oreocougs,
If you don't mind, would you be able to recreate this issue and then submit feedback via Google TV? That way, if there are any errors generated in the device logs, they would be sent to the Chromecast Engineering team to look into.
Best regards,
Jeran

I sent it through my Google tv app but I can try again.

Hey there Oreocougs,
If you don't mind doing it through Google TV to make sure the device logs are sent along as well. If it's too much hassle, though, don't worry about it. In the meantime, is there anything else I can address?
Best regards,
Jeran

I did it through Google tv. Thanks.

Hiya Oreocougs,
No problem at all, I really appreciate you doing that! It helps them track down any errors that may be occurring with the Chromecast device. In that case, unless you had anything else I could address, I'll go ahead and lock this thread in 24 hours. If you have any more questions in the future, feel free to create a new thread.
I hope you have a good one!
Best regards,
Jeran
