I have a chromecast from 2017 and I recently changed internet providers. How do I reset this device

My device isn’t detected on the Google home app (on my phone) and the chromecast app on the TV just says ‘can’t connect to wifi’ as it was set up using another network (which I discontinued when switching providers).
How can I factory reset this device when the app doesn’t give me the options as shown in the many instructions I’ve read.
Going crazy and grateful for any advice!
Thanks

Hi @MichelleTS

You can do a physical reset. Here are the instructions from How to factory reset your Chromecast

While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV, hold down the button on the side of the Chromecast. The LED should begin to blink orange. When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast should then restart.

Hey MichelleTS,

I'm happy to hear that @JillG was able to help! It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.

Cheers,
