Going to every single options menu possible on Facebook and my TV settings, turned off subtitles everywhere, but they are still there.

How is this an accepted solution? It's not even any solution at all. It's not an invalid suggestion, it's just not a solution. Please revert this as an accepted solution.

I guess you can lock it if you want, but IMO, the original question has not been answered. Well, other than just finger-pointing that is.

Hey there brianjmurrell,
I can try to help out a bit further, it's not a problem at all! When it comes to subtitles and the Chromecast, the content/app that is being casted is who provides the subtitles. The Chromecast itself just displays what it is being told to display. If you want to disable subtitles, you'd want to look at disabling them via the app's settings.
If disabling them via the app doesn't remove them, you may need to disconnect the cast, clear out the app's cache, and reconnect.
Let me know if that helps you out!
Best regards,
Jeran

Clearly there is no real help to be had here, so no there is nothing else you can do to help.

In this scenario, there isn't much Google can do with Chromecast built-in being an open source software, and Facebook being the one who provides the subtitles. For now, I'll go ahead and lock up the thread. If you have any more questions or concerns in the future, feel free to create a new thread.
Have a good one!
Best regards,
