Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. A few questions: what Chromecast device are you using? Is this only happening in one app or across all apps? Is this the first time it happened? When did it start? What steps have you taken?

Give the steps below a try and let me know how it goes:

• Reboot your Chromecast device, phone, and Wi-Fi router.
• Try casting from another phone.
• If it fails, try a factory reset, then set it up from scratch.

I think it didn't work because soon later I realized my TV didn't support Chromecast 😔

It's a Samsung 7 Series and I thought it supported Chromecast, Thanks for the advice though, it could be useful for others!

Also I would buy the Chromecast extension thingy if I wanted to, but I don't really need to connect my phone to my tv that often lol, It was just a funny thing I wanted to do.😃
