Same issue in 2 different devices yesterday with Chromecast 3

During the last 3 years I have been using 2 different Chromecast 3 for two different non-smart televisions (Toshiba 2015 and Sangsum 2018) in 2 different rest rooms. Everything was perfectly fine on the setting, the connectivity and the overall performance so thank you for making this possible. Yesterday Mar 19, 2023, both Chromecast 3 were no longer accesible by both televisions. Google Home was able to recognise the Chromecast devices but the televisions are not for some unknown reason. TVs and remote controls works fine and according to Google Home I'm streaming but the televisions are not getting any signal from the HDMI. I restarted the Google Home app, the CHromecast 3 to default setting and created a totally new Home from scratch including the WiFi connection but all without success. I tried with the Smart TV in the saloon and in that case everything is fine like it was in the past with the non-smart tvs in the past. When I had success in the saloon for a Smart TV, after that, and only then, I connected again the Chromecast 3 with the new setting in the non-smart tv but again without success. Can you please help me?

Hi Pabloski,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community. We appreciate you taking the time to test your Chromecast device on another TV, which proved that your Chromecast device is still working as intended, or else it wouldn’t have worked on that TV you tested. I suggest you check other HDMI ports on your older TVs. You may as well use an HDMI extender if it still fails on those TVs. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Kimy
