When I turned the tv on there was a sound bar on the right side of the screen and I can’t get it off (I can’t control the volume I use speakers with a separate remote)

It seems like you might have inadvertently activated a feature on your TV that displays the volume control on-screen. To remove it, you can typically use your TV Alter remote to navigate to the settings menu and disable the on-screen volume display or sound bar. If you're having trouble finding this option, referring to your TV's user manual or contacting the manufacturer's support may provide step-by-step instructions to resolve the issue.

Hi folks,

Thanks for posting here in the Google Nest Community.

Appreciate your help here, @jamespride815.

@Finn_McKillen, have you tried the suggestion above? The Chromecast device doesn’t have the feature of keeping the volume controls on the screen. It only shows when being controlled and will vanish after a few seconds. Kindly check the TV setting itself. Let us know if you still have questions.

Thanks,

Kimy
