Unable to connect my iPhone with Chromecast

I’m unable to connect my chromecast with my iPhone 12 Pro Max . I recently moved and had to reset the chromecast because I have a different Wi-Fi. Now that I’m trying to pair it up, it’s saying to allow the local network on my iPhone for the home app. I did so, but still unable to connect. I resetted my Wi-Fi. I rebooted my iPhone & used other phone to try to connect. I’m still unable to get my chromecast going !

I apologize about the late response on this thread, thank you for being patient! Were you able to fix that connection issue? If not, I'd be happy to help out, as I know connection issues can be difficult to troubleshoot. Let me just ask you some questions about what's happening:

  • Is your Google Home app up-to-date?
  • Can any other devices connect to the Chromecast, such as a computer or tablet?
  • Have you cleared out the cached data on the Google Home app?
  • Are you getting any other error messages?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?
