Undefined Chromecast Error

Good evening. My chromecast has been working fine the past few weeks up until tonight, where it refuses to connect and will show me nothing but a black screen with ‘Chromecast’ on the top, a yellow exclamation mark symbol, and the link to chromecast troubleshooting beneath it. I did nothing to make it error, it only started randomly doing this when i bumped the brick this afternoon. The light is a solid orange and will turn white for about 2 seconds when i press or hold the power button on the side of the chromecast itself. Im not sure how to fix this, could someone help?

• What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, here are some steps you can try:

• Restart your Chromecast: Unplug your Chromecast from the power source, wait for about a minute, and then plug it back in. 
• Factory reset your Chromecast: This will erase all your settings and data. Here are the instructions on how to factory reset your Chromecast, depending on the model you have.
