Google page https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/audio/ still shows VIZIO speakers as being chromecast speakers, but clicking on VIZIO results in 404 page not found.
Why hasn't Google updated that page?
I want the world to know that VIZIO has CRIPPLED the chromecast speaker capabilities in their VIZIO SMARTCAST app for the Crave 360 speakers and probably all of the Crave Series speakers if not ALL of the VIZIO chromecast speakers. If they still have some speakers that work with chromecast don't count on them keeping that capability.
VIZIO - Products that used to do what they said it would do, but NOT FOR LONG!

Hi bluekey,
We hear you and thanks for sharing your thoughts about this. We'll pass this along to the right team.
Thanks,

So what are the currently available chromecast capable speakers?
Is Google killing chromecast (AUDIO!) capable speakers too?
I'm old enough to not be used to how companies kill off technology that USED to work just fine. Now my 'chromecast' capable speakers are now just only bluetooth. Gut punched.

Hi bluekey,
Sorry for the late response. The supported Chromecast built-in speakers can still be found here. Also, I don't have info to share about Google removing Chromecast capable speakers.
I understand why you feel that way. Again, I'll pass this along to the right team.
Thanks,
Jennifer

That's the same exact link from my original post. ?????????
Vizio 404 page not found still there, most other brands are there really any other available speakers?
I don't expect anything will get done.

I clicked on the SONY link on the Chromecast page, then searched that page for chromecast and it returned 0 results. So again, where are the available chromecast speakers?

5 WEEKS HAVE PASSED...
And Google page https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/audio/ still shows VIZIO speakers as being chromecast speakers, but clicking on VIZIO results in 404 page not found.
I suppose this proves that chromecast speakers are on their way out?
Does ANYONE know of a list of SUPPORTED chromecast speakers?
Will those become obsolete like the other ones, when the company decides to criple the cast software?
IS SONOS THE ONLY ANSWER?

106 DAYS HAVE PASSED and still nothing has changed...
Google page https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/audio/ still shows VIZIO speakers as being chromecast speakers, in the #1 spot, but clicking on VIZIO results in 404 page not found.
Does this prove chromecast speakers are on their way out?

Vizio CRAVE SPEAKERS removed chromecast a very long time ago!!

Ok so no response here? Does anyone know of a Google community or forum where one can get answers?
Thanks!

Hello bluekey,
I'm sorry for the late response. Please try to choose the TV option in the upper right corner then choose Vizio. You will see the same Vizio website, and from there choose soundbars. You will see the supported Vizio speakers.
Thanks,
Jennifer

Hmm, maybye you're using Bing or something as I do not get the same results that you describe. If I were looking for a TV or a SOUNDBAR then maybe that would be helpful, but my entire post is about the inability of Google to maintain their CHROMECAST SUPPORT SPEAKERS website.
For more fun, try clicking on a few more from that page and you'll see:
Clicking Vizio results in ‘404 Sorry that page can't be found’. < STILL AFTER SO MUCH TIME
Clicking Sony then searching for chromecast results in ‘Oops! sorry, no results found for your search’.
Clicking Phillips results in ‘This product is discontinued’.
Clicking Brookstone results in ‘Oops - We couldn't find that one’.
Clicking Onkyo takes you to the Onkyo website but no speakers are found.
Clicking Pioneer results in a blank page.
Clicking the Harman Kardon link returns ‘Undefined’.
Clicking the JBL link returns ‘Internal Error’.
Thanks Google!

Hiya bluekey,
No worries, we hear you! Thank you for keeping us in the loop. We've alerted our team, and they're looking into the partner links on that page, but I have no other news to share right now. At this point in time, that is our list of supported Google Chromecast speakers.
Best regards,
Jeran

Preparing for a ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
I just happened to come across this today and checked it again and...
Google page https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/audio/ still shows VIZIO speakers as being chromecast speakers, but clicking on VIZIO results in 404 page not found.
Why hasn't Google updated that page after almost a YEAR?
03-11-2023 01:05 PM
This is laughable.
I just happened to come across this today and checked it again and...
Google page https://www.google.com/chromecast/built-in/audio/ still shows VIZIO speakers as being chromecast speakers, but clicking on VIZIO results in 404 page not found.
The pictured VIZIO Speaker DROPPED support for chromecast YEARS AGO. I know because I own one of those VIZIO Crave 360 speakers and chromecast hasn't worked with that speaker for a very long time because VIZIO killed that functionality.
Why hasn't Google updated that page after two people on here stated that the 'informed the team' over a YEAR AGO?
Does anything ever change? This is dissapointing.

Hay google...I just bought a Vizio Crave 360 to connect with my Speakers that use a chromecast audio (4 seperate sets) are you saying that the Vizio crave doesn't support connecting thhrough Google home?
07-20-2023 02:49 PM
Did you have any luck? I have four of these, and they've not worked in months
07-20-2023 03:01 PM
I’m closer. I got google home to see the Crave but it fails to connect. I updated my firmware
07-20-2023 03:11 PM
I can report that it's been 528 days since posting this and that Chromecast Vizio webpage STILL SHOWS 404 page not found.
All the hours I spent a year and a half ago with Vizio and Google trying to get the Crave 360 to work were a total waste.
I now only use my Crave 360 when I'm out and about and need a portable bluetooth speaker (like overnight in a park cabin) and have sworn off buying anything else that's Vizio branded.

Hi everyone,
This page highlights the manufacturers that have integrated Chromecast hardware into their products. This page is particularly a portal to these manufacturers (mostly) speaker products with Chromecast built-in. Since this is a portal that leads to their website, changes on their websites are beyond Google's control. Be it that the particular model has already reached the End-Of-Life phase (not in production anymore), has been modified, or perhaps it’s just changed from their website yet is still supported, these things are beyond Google’s control. You may need to find the information directly on their website. I hope this clarifies the confusion about the page. Let us know if you still have questions.
Thanks,
Kimy
