chromcast 2nd generation

i have been using the chromecast for over year to cast from my iphone 7 , a sports app BEIN connect. it was running perfect without any issues. now i can start casting but after 4-5 minutes it disconnect. i have to change the channel and then it re-connect and works again for 4-5 minutes.

i have two units in two different locations and both worked very well until recently. i double checked the network in both , router and nothing have changed. The internet i have in both is fast 5.GHz and it is fiber optic.

i checked with Beinconnect if they have any advise and they confirmed that the app is working norma.

can any one suggest a solution ??

Thanks for posting here in the community! I'm happy to help you with casting the Chromecast to the TV.

 

To gather more information, I'd like to ask a few questions:

 

  • How far is the Chromecast from the router?
  • Is the internet connection stable?
  • How far are you from the TV when you try to cast?
  • Have there been any changes to the router settings?

For now, make sure that your Chromecast and phone's software are up-to-date and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
