google home devices not in chromcast on desktop

Usually all of the speakers and nest wifi devices are in the pinned chromecast app on my desktop.  Now only the tv shows up.  Suggestions?  All are on the same network.

I'm not sure what you mean by pinned chromecast app, as there isn't a desktop chromecast app that I'm aware of.  Do you mean the cast menu in Chrome?  What platform are you using, Windows?  Do the devices you're expecting to see but don't show up elsewhere, like on your phone?

Thank you for your response.  I use windows 10,  and yes, the chrome cast menu.  Also, yes.  Work fine from my phone (IOS) and from wifes’ chrome book.

If you've installed anything new like an antivirus or VPN, remove it and see if that helps.  Also, try opening an Incognito window in Chrome and see if that changes the behavior.

Is the common difference that your TV and PC are wired to your network and the rest are on WiFi?  Did the connection method change between now and when it was working?  I assume you've already tried rebooting the PC.

Nothing added recently.    recent windows update may have affected it, but not sure to do to change.  All are using wifi at this time.
