i trued to factory reset my remore as per instruction on the forum but now my remote will not work at all. i bought the echromecast less than a week ago and the voice search just stopped working and that's why I tried to factory reset it but now the re just keeps pulsing and wont even work to change program or anything

Thanks for posting and I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Voice Remote. To confirm, does it show a slow pulsing white light in the Voice Remote? If yes, this means that the remote is ready to pair. This may also indicate that an attempted pairing was unsuccessful.
You can try to unplug and plug back in your Chromecast with Google TV from the HDMI port and re-pair your remote. If the issue persists, factory reset your Chromecast with Google TV dongle and pair it again with your Voice Remote. Here's a guide: How to factory reset your Chromecast.

I ended up talking with someone from support. It was a bad remote and I had to buy a new one.
