something went wrong try again message when trying to cast to chromecast

Hey there ET,

 

I'm sorry to hear that you're getting an error when you are trying to cast! I know that error message isn't super descriptive, so I'd be happy to help you out! Let me just ask you some questions to better understand what's happening:

  • When did this issue start happening?
  • What color is the LED light on the Chromecast?
  • Does this occur across multiple casting devices, or just one?
  • Can you see the Chromecast in the Google Home app?

I would also recommend you check out this article on common Chromecast connection issues, as a lot of these cases are fixed with the steps in that article.
