Hi @Isabelnkeyd

The easiest way to fix your issues is to change your new WiFi settings to match your old ones.
If that is not possible most of your devices need a factory reset to change WiFi settings.

What Google device are you using? If it is the Chromecast you can factory reset it pretty quickly and set it up like a new device.

@Isabelnkeyd

You have to be connected to your old Wi-Fi network in order to remove your device prior to changing your Wi-Fi. If you've already changed your Wi-Fi settings and cannot set the network name (SSID) and password to the ones used on the old router/modem, then, as @RXShorty  said, you'll have to do a factory reset.

I have a similar problems but the factory re-set did not fix it. Any other suggestions would be welcome. In my case I installed a new modem/router which I gather is the problem but the wifi is working fine so I am unsure what to do.

Depending on the Google Nest device, customers who fail to remove their devices from the Google Nest app or Google Home app BEFORE installing a new router/modem, and THEN do a factory reset have problems reinstalling their devices.

As @RXShorty  mentioned above, and as Google Nest recommends as the first choice, "The simplest fix for most Nest products is to update your home network so that the network name (SSID) and password are the same as they were before. This will usually work even if you’ve purchased a new Wi-Fi router, as long as the manufacturer settings are the same."
