Display doesn't understand an automation but works when I trigger from Home app

I have an automation that says "play MSNBC on youtubetv" to start every morning.  However, it's hit or miss if that works and if it doesn't google will say " I don't understand" or something like that.

BUT - if I got into the home app and manually start that automation, it works fine.   OR I can say the exact same phrase and it works with no issue.

Is "youtubetv" the name of a display?

Different ways you approach Google to start routines sometimes require different commands.

You've got voice, automation, play directly from app and shortcuts.

They say to use the commands that you would usually ask Google, but that's not always successful, so you need to find your preferred way to trigger and play around with the phrases.

Sometimes keeping it simple with fewer instructions is the best way.

Like just saying "Play MSNBC" to a display.

I've found in Shortcuts that using the word Cast or Stream before the media (MSNBC) might give better results.

Streaming Remote Control for Google Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max and Chromecast.
